Elias completed his DMV in the U.S. and is currently enrolled in a PhD in Veterinary Sciences, option Epidemiology, at the Université de Montréal. He is passionate about research in epidemiology and public health. The aim of his doctoral project is to evaluate the causal relationships between different factors involved in the transmission of the zoonotic parasite Taenia solium between humans, pigs and the environment.
